Reading Passage: “Walking My Dog”

Every evening, I walk my dog.
First, I put on my shoes and get the leash.
My dog gets excited and wags its tail.
I clip the leash on and open the door.
We walk around the neighborhood.
My dog sniffs trees and grass.
Sometimes we see other dogs and say hello.
After 20 minutes, we go back home.
I give my dog some water and a treat.
Then my dog rests and I relax.
