The Lion and the Mouse
NARRATOR:
One day, a great lion was sleeping under a tree.
His golden mane moved gently in the wind.
NARRATOR:
A little mouse ran through the grass.
She didn’t see the lion… and ran across his big paw!
NARRATOR:
The lion woke up with a loud roar!
🦁 LION (briefly):
“Who dares to walk on me?!”
He grabbed the mouse with one big paw.
NARRATOR:
The little mouse was very scared.
She looked up at the lion’s big teeth.
🐭 MOUSE (softly):
“Please let me go! One day I can help you.”
NARRATOR:
The lion laughed.
How could a tiny mouse help a big lion?
But he let her go.
🦁 LION (chuckling):
“Run along, little one.”
NARRATOR:
Days passed.
One day, the lion walked into a trap set by hunters.
NARRATOR:
He tried to escape, but strong ropes held him tight.
He roared and shook, but he could not get free.
NARRATOR:
Then, someone heard his roar…
It was the little mouse!
She ran to the lion.
She saw the ropes and began to chew.
NARRATOR:
Nibble, nibble… bite, bite…
The ropes broke.
NARRATOR:
The lion stood up—free!
He looked at the little mouse and smiled.
🦁 LION (softly):
“Thank you, little friend.”
NARRATOR (ending):
From that day on, the lion and the mouse were true friends.
And the lion learned something very important:
Even the smallest friend can make a big difference.
