🐸🐂 The Frog and the Ox

Aesop’s Fable – Easy English Story for Ages 4–6

🎭 Character Descriptions

  • 🐸 Frog: A small green frog with big eyes. He lives in a pond and wants to be important.

  • 🐂 Ox: A huge brown animal with strong legs. He is calm and doesn’t notice the frog.

📜 Script

NARRATOR:
One day, a frog saw a big ox walking near the pond.
The ox was large and strong.

The frog watched and felt small.

🐸 FROG (thinking):
“I want to be big like that ox!”

NARRATOR:
So the frog puffed up his body.
He asked the other frogs:

🐸 FROG:
“Am I as big as the ox?”

OTHER FROGS:
“No, not yet.”

NARRATOR:
The frog puffed again.
“Now?”
“No,” they said.

He puffed more and more.

NARRATOR:
Then—POP!
The frog puffed too much and burst.

NARRATOR (ending):
