🦇🦡 The Bat and the Weasels

NARRATOR:
One quiet evening, as the sun began to set, a bat flew across the darkening sky.
He flew low near the trees, looking for a place to rest.
Just as he landed on a branch, a quick shadow jumped from the bushes.

It was a weasel—and he caught the bat in his sharp teeth!

🦊 WEASEL 1:
“I hate birds! I will eat you right now!”

🦇 BAT (nervously):
“Wait! I’m not a bird! Look at me closely—I have no feathers at all.
See? I have fur, just like a mouse!”

NARRATOR:
The weasel paused and looked again.
The bat was right—no feathers, only fur.
The weasel didn’t want to eat a mouse, so he let the bat go.

NARRATOR:
Later that same night, the bat flew again, feeling lucky to be safe.
But trouble came once more!
Another weasel jumped out and caught him!

🦊 WEASEL 2:
“I hate mice! I will eat you now!”

🦇 BAT:
“Oh no, I’m not a mouse! Look—I have wings. I can fly like a bird!”

NARRATOR:
The second weasel blinked in surprise.
He looked at the bat’s wings and thought, “Well, he does fly…”
So he let the bat go, too.

NARRATOR (ending):
The bat escaped both times—not with strength, but with clever words.
He changed his story to fit the moment.

Sometimes, quick thinking can save your life.

THE END.
