The student will learn to respond to the question “What’s your name?” with the pattern: “I’m [Name]”
And to recognize the phrase “What’s your name?” through repetition and fun!
The students will recognize the emotions happy and sad using visual and facial cues. They will repeat or respond to the phrases:
➡️ “I’m happy!” 😊
➡️ “I’m sad.” 😢
The student will recognize and say three basic colors: red, blue, yellow and respond to the question “What color?” with “It’s [color]!” They will also participate in a color song and point to or show colored objects.
The student will recognize and say dog, cat, and cow and imitate animal sounds (woof, meow, moo). They will also respond to the question “What’s this?” and participate in a song and movement-based activities
The child will be able to recognize and say apple, banana, and cookie and say and understand “Yum yum!” They will also leanr to respond with “I like ___” through modeling. Lastly, they will imitate actions like pretend-eating and choosing food.
The child will be able to say and recognize the numbers 1, 2, and 3. They will count objects using fingers or visuals and follow along with a simple counting song. They will be able to answer “How many?” using gesture or repetition.
The learners will be able to recognize and name three common toys. They will to learn to respond with "It’s a ___" using echo repetition. They will engage in short movement and song activities related to toys.
The students will understand and say the words "big" and "small" They will compare sizes using visuals and movement and respond to the question “What is it?” with “It’s big!” or “It’s small!”
The students will recognize and respond to previously learned vocabulary through song, participate in movement-based music activities, and practice listening, comprehension, and repetition through rhythm.
The students will review and use learned vocabulary through active recall. They will also share and describe their favorite toy or object. They will practice listening, pointing, speaking, and showing.
The learner will identify and name three face parts, point to body parts on self, teacher, or toy, respond with “This is my ___” through modeling and repetition, and recognize the question, "Where is your...?"
The learners will understand and follow simple action words, respond physically to movement commands, sing and move with action vocabulary, and say simple “I can…” sentences.
The learners will recognize and say names for close family members, point to family members in pictures or real life, say “This is my ___.” with modeling and repetition, and sing a fun family-themed song.
The learner will recognize and name 3 familiar objects found in the house, respond physically or verbally when identifying objects, practice “This is a ___.” in simple sentences, and sing a fun house-themed song.
The learnrs will recognize the actions of washing and brushing, understand hygiene habits through fun repetition, use “Let’s ___” or “I can ___” with support, and move along with song and actions.
The learners will begin to answer the question “What’s this?”, respond with “This is a ___.” for simple, familiar objects, recognize pictures of common items learned so far, and enjoy a guessing game and singing.
The students will recognize and name simple clothing items, begin to understand “put on” as an action, use “This is my ___” in context, and engage in dressing-up games and songs.
The students will recognize and name basic feelings, answer “How do you feel?” with simple words, express feelings with facial expressions and gestures, and sing and act out a feelings song.
The student will recognize and name three common pets, make animal sounds and movements, respond to “What do you see?” with “I see a ___.”, and express joy through pets-themed song and pretend play.
The student will respond to simple questions about location (“Where?”), practice the idea of hidden/revealed objects, use gestures to point, look around, and act surprised, and keep interest high with hide-and-seek activities.
The students will review words from Semester 2, introduce the concept of Show & Tell, help child say simple sentences about family or home items, and celebrate learning and build confidence.
