📖 Script
Narrator: Long ago, Bear 🐻 had a beautiful, long tail that he loved to show off. He would strut around the forest.
🐻 Bear: “Look at my tail! Isn’t it the finest in the land?”
Narrator: One cold winter morning, Bear was very hungry. He sniffed the air and followed the scent of fish.
Narrator: By the frozen lake, he saw Fox 🦊 pulling up fish through a hole in the ice.
🐻 Bear: “How did you catch those fish?”
🦊 Fox (smirking): “Easy! I just stick my tail into the hole and wait. The fish bite it!”
🐻 Bear: “Really? That’s amazing!”
🦊 Fox: “But you have to be very still and wait a long time. The longer, the better.”
Narrator: Bear waddled over to the hole and dipped his fluffy tail into the icy water.
Narrator: He waited… and waited… as the ice got colder and the water began to freeze around his tail.
Narrator: Fox quietly tiptoed away, chuckling.
🦊 Fox: “Let’s see how long he stays!”
Narrator: Finally, Bear felt a tug.
🐻 Bear: “I got one!”
Narrator: He yanked hard—CRACK! His tail snapped off in the ice!
🐻 Bear: “Aaaaaargh! My beautiful tail!”
Narrator: Fox giggled from the trees, disappearing into the woods.
Narrator: From that day on, bears have short tails. And Bear never bragged about his looks again.
