🎶 “The Tale of Heungbu and Nolbu” 🎶
🎵 Verse 1
Narrator:
Once upon a time, in a quiet village,
Lived two brothers—Heungbu and Nolbu.
Heungbu was poor, but oh so kind 🧔♂️,
Nolbu was rich, but had a cruel mind 😠.
🎵 Verse 2
Narrator:
One spring day, Heungbu saw a swallow 🐦,
Its little leg hurt—it couldn’t follow.
He gently cared and kept it near,
Until the bird could fly with cheer.
🧔♂️ Heungbu:
“Fly safely, little one!”
🎵 Verse 3
Narrator:
The swallow returned months later, so sweet,
And dropped a gourd seed at Heungbu’s feet 🌱.
He planted it deep in the warm brown earth,
And what it grew was full of worth!
Narrator:
When they opened the glowing gourd 🎁—
Gold! And food! And clothes were stored!
Heungbu’s family danced with joy,
Thanking the bird with love and joy!
🎵 Verse 4
Narrator:
But word soon reached the selfish ear
Of Nolbu, who sneered with a jealous cheer 😠.
😠 Nolbu:
“Tell me your secret!”
Narrator:
Kind Heungbu shared with grace,
No anger lived in Heungbu’s face.
🎵 Verse 5
Narrator:
Nolbu found a swallow, broke its leg—oh no!
Pretended to help, but kindness? No!
The bird flew off with a little squeak…
And returned with a seed later that week.
Narrator:
Nolbu planted the gourd so fast,
Hoping riches would surely last.
🎵 Verse 6
Narrator:
But when he opened the gourd with glee,
Out came monsters, robbers, and misery!
They knocked his house and tore it down,
And Nolbu was left in rags and frowns.
😠 Nolbu:
“Why me?!”
🎵 Verse 7
Narrator:
He went to Heungbu with head held low,
And tears began to freely flow.
😠 Nolbu:
“I was wrong. Please forgive me.”
🧔♂️ Heungbu:
“Let’s live together in peace, you see.”
🎵 Verse 8
Narrator:
So the brothers hugged and made things right,
They shared their food and smiled each night.
And from that day, their hearts grew wide—
With kindness, love, and peace inside. 💛
