🎶 “Kongjwi’s Kindness” 🎶
🎵 Verse 1
Narrator:
Long ago, in a small village,
Lived a sweet girl named Kongjwi 👧.
After her mother passed away,
A cruel new family came to stay.
Narrator:
Patjwi and her mother mean,
Made poor Kongjwi scrub and clean.
Day and night, with no delay,
She worked so hard without a say.
🎵 Verse 2
Narrator:
One day, her stepmother said,
“Fill this jar,” with fear and dread.
But the jar had a hole—oh no!
Water slipped and wouldn’t flow.
👧 Kongjwi:
“How can I possibly do this?”
Narrator:
Kongjwi wept, her hopes fell low,
But suddenly came a magic cow 🐂.
With gentle eyes and one soft nod,
The jar was filled—what a gift from God!
🎵 Verse 3
Narrator:
The next day brought more toil and woe,
“Weed this whole field before the sun is low.”
She cried again, her arms so sore,
Then down came help from the skies once more 👼.
Narrator:
A maiden floated, shining bright,
And cleared the weeds in seconds—light!
Kongjwi smiled, her heart felt new,
She whispered softly, “Thank you too.”
🎵 Verse 4
Narrator:
A royal ball would soon begin,
But chores again piled up within.
She longed to go and twirl and glide,
But more work made her dreams subside.
Narrator:
With magic help and fairy cheer,
She dressed in beauty, shining clear.
A dress of stars, a glowing face,
She danced with joy and gentle grace.
Narrator:
She twirled with the governor tall 🤴,
But at midnight, fled the hall.
She left behind a special shoe 🥿,
And vanished before he knew.
🎵 Verse 5
🤴 Governor:
“I must find the girl who fits this shoe.”
Narrator:
He searched from door to door so wide,
To find the girl who danced with pride.
At Kongjwi’s home, Patjwi declared,
“I’ll wear it now—it’s mine!” she flared 😡.
Patjwi 😡:
“It fits! It’s mine!”
Narrator:
But try and try, her foot was sore,
The shoe would never fit—no more.
Then Kongjwi stepped and tried it, too…
And it fit just like a dream come true.
🎵 Verse 6
Narrator:
She married the governor, fair and wise,
With kindness shining in her eyes.
Patjwi and her mother went away,
Learning kindness wins the day. 💖
