🎵 “The Tortoise and the Sky” 🎵
For Ages 4–6 | Slow & Cheerful | Sung by a Young Girl
🎶 Verse 1
🎵 High above the forest green,
An eagle flew, proud and keen.
Down below, with dreaming eyes,
A tortoise watched the open skies. 🐢🌤️
🎶 Verse 2
🐢 “I wish I had those wings so wide,
To glide through clouds and skies so high!”
He looked up with a hopeful cry—
🎵 “Please, dear eagle, help me fly!” 🦅
🎶 Verse 3
🦅 “You’re not made for sky so blue,
Your shell is heavy—feet not true.”
🐢 “Just once is all I ask of you,
To see the world from up there too!” 🌎
🎶 Verse 4
🎵 The eagle soared, the tortoise held,
High above the trees and hills.
🦅 “Look below, oh what a view!”
🐢 “I’m flying! Dreams come true!” 🌈
🎶 Verse 5
🎵 But joy became a wiggly squirm,
He wriggled with a happy turn…
🦅 “Careful now—don’t move too much!”
🐢 “I can’t believe—I—AHHHH!” 😱
🎶 Verse 6
🎵 Down he tumbled, fast and loud,
Through the air, past every cloud.
A crash, a crack, but he pulled through…
His flying days were sadly through. 💔
🎶 Final Verse
🐢 “I’ll walk the earth, slow and wise.
It’s better than falling from the skies.”
🎵 Some dreams are big, some dreams must wait—
And nature’s path is truly great. 🌳💫
