🎵 The Gingerbread Man – Song Lyrics 🎵
(Cheerful beat ~90 BPM – playful story-song)

Verse 1
In a little cottage, warm and neat,
An old woman thought of something sweet.
“I’ll bake a treat for my dear old man—
A gingerbread cookie with frosting and jam!”

Verse 2
She mixed the dough, then rolled it flat,
Shaped a man, imagine that!
Icing buttons, gumdrop nose,
Into the oven—there he goes!

Verse 3
But when she opened up the door,
The cookie jumped down to the floor!

🍪 Gingerbread Man (singing):
“Run, run, as fast as you can!
You can’t catch me, I’m the Gingerbread Man!”

Verse 4
He dashed right past the woman’s feet,
And out the door into the street.

👴 Old Man: “Stop right there! Come back, you treat!”
But cookie legs were fast and fleet!

Verse 5
He met a pig beside the gate,
The pig was drooling, couldn’t wait!

🐷 Pig: “You look so good—I want a bite!”
🍪 Gingerbread Man: “You won’t catch me, not tonight!”

🎶 “I’ve run from an old man and an old woman too—
And I’ll run away right past you!”

Verse 6
He met a cow, so big and wide,
🐄 “Come here, little snack,” the cow replied.
🍪 “Run, run, as fast as you can!
You can’t catch me, I’m the Gingerbread Man!”

Verse 7
A horse came galloping down the track—
🐎 “I’ll chase that cookie for a snack!”
But cookie feet were quick and light,
And soon the horse was out of sight.

Verse 8
He came at last to a river wide,
And there he stopped, no bridge to stride.
The cookie frowned, “Oh dear, I see—
This water’s far too much for me!”

Verse 9
Then a fox appeared with a friendly face,
🦊 “Hop on my tail—I’ll help you race!”

The cookie climbed on, nervous still,
As the fox swam strong and still.

Verse 10
🦊 “The water’s deep—now climb my back!”
Then “On my head,” then “On my neck!”
Then quick as lightning, up he flew—
Right into the fox’s mouth he blew!

Verse 11 (Ending)
SNAP went jaws, and that was that—
No more cookie running fast!

🦊 “Mmm! So sweet and crunchy too!”
And off the fox in the river flew.

Narrator’s verse (gentle fade):
And that’s the end of our gingerbread friend…
But his song was fun, from start to end!
