The Donkey and His Load

📜 Script

NARRATOR:
One hot day, a merchant was walking with his donkey.
The donkey was carrying a heavy load of salt on his back.

NARRATOR:
The road was long, and the donkey was tired.

🐴 DONKEY (thinking):
“This is too heavy. I don’t want to carry this anymore.”

NARRATOR:
They came to a little stream.
The donkey slipped on the rocks—SPLASH!

NARRATOR:
The bags of salt got wet… and the salt melted in the water.
The load became light!

🐴 DONKEY (smiling):
“Ah! That’s better!”

NARRATOR:
The next day, they walked again.
This time, the donkey was carrying sponges.

Again, they reached the stream.

The donkey remembered what happened before…

NARRATOR:
So he jumped into the water on purpose!

SPLASH!

NARRATOR:
But this time, the sponges soaked up the water.
They became very, very heavy!

The donkey tried to stand… but he couldn’t move!

🐴 DONKEY (groaning):
“Oh no… this is worse!”

NARRATOR (ending):
The donkey learned a lesson:
Tricks don’t always work.
And sometimes, they make things harder.
