🌞 NARRATOR:
Once upon a time, there was a fast hare and a slow tortoise.
The hare loved to run. He was very, very fast.
The tortoise walked slowly, step by step.

One day, the hare saw the tortoise walking slowly.
🐇 HARE (laughing):
“You are so slow! I can run faster than the wind!”

“That’s true. But I don’t give up. Let’s race!”

The animals in the forest came to watch the race.
“Ready, set, go!” shouted the bird.
The hare ran fast
The tortoise walked slowly—step, step, step.
🌳 NARRATOR:
The hare ran far ahead.
He looked back and laughed.
🐇 HARE:
“The tortoise is so slow! I can take a nap.”
So the hare lay under a tree and went to sleep.
“Zzz…”
🏃♀️ NARRATOR:
But the tortoise did not stop.
He kept going—step, step, step.
Up the hill, down the hill, past the sleeping hare.
⏰ NARRATOR:
Later, the hare woke up.
“Oh no! The tortoise is near the finish line!”
He jumped up and ran as fast as he could.
But it was too late.
🏁 NARRATOR:
The tortoise crossed the finish line.
All the animals cheered!

“Hooray for the tortoise!”

“Slow and steady wins the race.”
