The Fairy and the Woodcutter
🌳 NARRATOR:
Once upon a time, a kind woodcutter lived near a forest.
He worked hard every day and lived all alone.
One sunny day, he walked near a waterfall…
and saw something amazing.
🪽 NARRATOR:
A beautiful fairy came down from the sky.
She took off her wings and played in the water.
She laughed, danced, and sang.
The woodcutter watched from behind the trees.
He thought,
“She is so lovely. I want her to stay.”
So he quietly took her wings and hid them behind a rock.
💧 NARRATOR:
When the fairy finished playing, she looked for her wings.
🧚 FAIRY (worried):
“Oh no… Where are my wings? I can’t go home!”
The woodcutter came to her and said:

“Don’t worry. You can stay with me.”
🏠 NARRATOR:
The fairy was sad, but she stayed with the woodcutter.
Time passed. They lived together and became a family.
They laughed. They played. They had a baby.
📦 NARRATOR:
One day, the fairy cleaned the house.
She opened a box… and saw something inside.
Her wings.
🧚 FAIRY (softly):
“My wings… They were here all along…”
🌌 NARRATOR:
That night, the fairy looked at the sky.
She missed her home.
She kissed her child and the woodcutter.
🧚 FAIRY:
“I love you… but I must go.”
She flew into the stars and disappeared.

The woodcutter looked up at the sky.
He missed her, but he smiled.
Because he knew:
Love means letting go.
