Section 3: Roleplay Scenarios
Scenario #1: Imagine you are talking to a friend who had an exciting weekend. Ask them about what they did and share your own weekend activities in response.
Scenario #2: You are planning your weekend with a friend. Discuss different activities you can do together and decide on one.
Scenario #3: Your coworker is new in town and asks you for weekend activity suggestions. Recommend at least three things they can do and explain why.
Here’s a list of common phrases and words to help you with these roleplay scenarios:
General Phrases for Casual Conversation:
- “Hey! How was your weekend?”
- “What did you get up to?”
- “Sounds fun!”
- “That’s interesting.”
- “Oh, really?”

Scenario #1: Friend’s Exciting Weekend & Sharing Your Own
- Asking about their weekend:
- “So, I heard you had an amazing weekend! Tell me everything!”
- “What did you do that was so exciting?”
- “How was your weekend? Did you do anything fun?”
- “Where did you go?”
- “Who did you go with?”
- “What was the best part?”
- Sharing your weekend:
- “My weekend was pretty relaxed. I…”

Scenario #2: Planning Weekend Activities
- Suggesting activities:

- “We could go to a concert/show.”

- Deciding on an activity:

Scenario #3: Recommending Activities to a New Coworker
- Giving recommendations:
