🎵 The Little Red Hen – Song Lyrics 🎵
(85–90 BPM, bright and storytelling tone)

Verse 1
Once upon a farm so sweet,
Lived a hen with busy feet.
One sunny morning, what did she see?
Grains of wheat beside her knee.

Verse 2
“Who will help me plant this wheat?”
She asked with hope and tapping feet.

🐷 Pig: “Not I, I’m tired—too much to do.”
🦆 Duck: “Not I, I’m swimming through.”
🐱 Cat: “Not I, I need a nap,
Right here beneath this sunny gap.”

Verse 3
So she planted all alone,
In the field where seeds were sown.
The wheat grew tall, a golden sea,
And she asked again quite hopefully:

Verse 4
“Who will help me cut it down,
And bring the golden harvest ’round?”

🐷 “Not I,”
🦆 “Not I,”
🐱 “Not I,” they said—
So she worked alone instead.

Verse 5
“Who will help me grind this wheat?
Turn it into flour neat?”

🐷 “No thanks!”
🦆 “I’m far too busy!”
🐱 “My nails are wet—I feel so dizzy!”

Verse 6
So she ground the wheat by hand,
Rolled the dough so soft and grand.
She baked the loaf till warm and round,
And soon the smell spread all around.

Verse 7
“Who will help me eat this bread?”
The hen with pride and hunger said.

🐷 “I will!”
🦆 “I will!”
🐱 “Me too!” they cried—
But she looked them in the eye.

Final Verse (Ending)
“No, you didn’t help,” she said.
“You didn’t bake or share my bread.
I’ll eat it now—it’s mine alone,
For all this work, I’ve done on my own.”

She ate each bite, so warm and sweet,
While the others watched and didn’t eat.
They learned a truth, so clear and right—
Hard work shines like morning light.
